Asian American & Pacific Islander heritage month 2023
The Converse Mosaic network celebrated the diversity within the Asian community through several employee activations and onsite celebrations.
Challenge
The Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month committee needed an original visual identity that would encompass a variety of cultural aesthetics and energize employees around this heritage month, including the many stories and traditions passed down through generations.
Concept
My creative approach began with icons and food inspired by Asian restaurants and evolved to include a Zen painting foundation. The color palette is built around the Converse brand blue, with a neutral beige and bright orange forming an abstract gradient that creates a modern background. I pulled in symbols regarded by various cultural backgrounds in Asian communities.
